He who finds a wife finds a good thing
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value…….She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:10-11, 25-29
I can’t think of a better way to start this blog than by celebrating and honouring my beautiful wife, Julie.
She is truly a wife of noble character – as well as stunning and gorgeous!
For the past 32 years we have shared life together – loving, laughing, crying, dreaming giving, praying, playing, serving and doing our best to raise and form children, disciples and leaders – and without doubt I’m better and richer in every way because of her. I definitely married up!
Marriage, together with parenting, is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s stretched and continues to stretch me spiritually, mentally, emotionally, relationally, financially and physically. Yet at the same time I can say it’s the most loving, joy filled, beautiful and fulfilling call that I’ve ever experienced (after my relationship with God).
Julie, I love you today more than the day we first got married. You are more beautiful in every way and I look forward to our next 32 years together.
Proverbs 18:22 says ‘He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord’
When I found you, I found a good thing – and obtained great favour from God. Thank you for being the best wife in the world, ‘mi amor’ ❤️
